The Office of Multicultural Success and Retention (OMSAR) provides access to quality academic support, enriching social experiences, and a sense of community for multicultural student populations at Ohio University. 

– Served as a resource and guide for 30+ first year, multicultural students in making their first year transitions into college smoother.

 

 

Tutor, Tutoring and Academic Support Center, San Francisco State University, 

San Francisco, CA                                                                                                                                                                         Oct 2019 – May 2020 

The Tutoring and Academic Support Center (TASC) comprises the Campus Academic Resource Program (CARP) where I began working, successfully provides academic support for San Francisco State students. 

– Individually consulted with 40+ first-generation and underrepresented undergraduate students to improve their writing, reading, and study skills which raised their grades by 150%. 

– Coordinated approximately 10 virtual tutoring sessions for these students.

– Revamped and co-facilitated 5 effective peer review workshops for various undergraduate classes.
